Venue layout and quality of meeting space was a key driver in order to provide the necessary flexibility to deliver a range of interactive business sessions including formal plenaries, business unit workshops and cafe-style, best-practice sessions.
As this global team only comes together once per year, the social & networking aspect of the conference was equally important to get right.
After an extensive venue search, we settled on the JW Marriott, Phuket as the preferred location for the conference due to its stunning location, quality of the property and the size & flexibility of its meeting space.
We managed all of the pre-event delegate communication which included setting up a dedicated registration site and regular follow-ups with delegates and affiliate coordinators around the globe. Based on the client’s outline objectives & rationale, we developed a strong event theme and brand which we deployed across the full range of event collateral and we worked with the client and their training partners to put together a stimulating conference programme with minimal formal presentations and a strong focus on interaction & engagement.
The programme focused on driving business growth across key market segments – reviewing & improving competitiveness at regional level and sharing of best practice across countries and business units.
As a development from the previous year’s conference, our client wanted to significantly increase the level of branding and production quality for this event. Our in-house design team therefore set out to develop a clear, creative theme and logo which we then executed across the whole range of event collateral to provide a consistent, professional brand platform for the event.
The excellent meeting space at the JW Marriott enabled us to create dedicated space in which to run a complex two-day programme comprising half-day strategy workshops and separate 30-min cafe-style best practice sessions. The ability to have such a diverse programme in one area enabled delegates to move easily between the different sessions whilst enjoying plenty of breaks for personal networking with colleagues from across the globe.
A group dinner at the beautiful Baan Rim Pa restaurant provided the perfect backdrop for socialising with colleagues whilst enjoying outstanding local cuisine with a stunning, panoramic view across the sea to Patong
Our team coordinated all of the pre-event and on-site logistics, including delegate communication, venue management, ground services and expert AV provision via one of our trusted technical partners in the region, all of which combined to deliver an outstanding event for our client.
Our client’s global management team were delighted with the event and the way in which it was delivered. Delegates also rated it very highly – scoring 4s & 5s out of 5 in nearly all parameters. The move away from formal presentations towards interactive workshops and the way in which the complex programme was managed, also scored very highly with many delegates rating it as their best ever conference.
